The Nocturnum
Episode 7: Visiting Hours
Original Air Date: 11/9/03
Brief Synopsis
At the behest of their new mysterious benefactor, one Roland Delmont, the group heads for New England, their mission to pose as insurance adjustors and speak to Timothy Ekloff's brother Alan, who has been arrested for the murder of his sister, and institutionalized in an asylum.During their investigation, the group discovers that Alan has been incarcerated by none other than TemCo, and that his guardian, the chief resident at the asylum, is one of the race of demonic creatures responsible for their own plight. They also discover that Timothy Ekloff is in fact the same man they met in Utah, posing as Thomas Engell, who gave Anita a ride to Salt Lake City.
Alan dies during a riot in the asylum, and the group barely escapes in time to avoid another confrontation with the demonic entities who have hounded them thus far. Their next stop: the Ekloff estate in Bowersville, Georgia. They now know that Timothy Ekloff is their only hope of finding some answers. Unfortunately, TemCo also wants him for their own secret purposes, and a race against time is on.
Great Quotes:
End of Teaser: I see a cold metal death coming for you!
Eric (OOC): I'm not shooting that one, too.Cyan (re: Anita): Hell, I'd do her.
Lunatic: In 45 minutes, the Queen of Darkness will return to devour your souls!
Drake: What about those of us who don't have souls?
Cyan: Maybe we shouldn't taunt him.
Great moments:
Drake goes toe-to-toe with a giant wererat. In an effort to escape, Walter calls upon his hellspawned powers and begins to tear open the elevator doors with his bare hands. John steps forward and presses the button. The doors open. Walter sheepishly enters the elevator.
The group realizes that perhaps Walter's new spirit patron isn't all flowers and puppies, and comes to suspect that they may have met it somewhere before...
A series of intricately (and incredibly) detailed and realistic crayon drawings around Alan Ekloff's cell reveal a nephew of Alan and Timothy's who is quite possibly a psychic with some knowledge of what's going on.
They discover memos from TemCo revealing that roughly 90% of the populace in Bower County possesses something called "The Asset." The group begins to suspect that TemCo is interested in the Gifted for some dark reason.
John instructs an inmate how to break out of the institution.
John convinces a crazy Vietnam Vet to help them "rescue the last POW" and then escape.
